Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking an entry-level Service Technician 1 to provide on-site support for commercial food equipment installations and repairs. The role includes basic mechanical work, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety manuals.

You will handle on-call and after-hours scheduling as part of a rotating duty roster. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of electrical/mechanical experience; Associates or vocational certificates are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–2 years electrical/mechanical experience.
• Associates degree or vocational certificate preferred.
• Certificates/licenses: position/location dependent.

Responsibilities

• Install basic mechanical commercial food equipment and assist in more advanced installs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair basic mechanical equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance on basic equipment.
• Follow safety manuals and procedures; uphold quality customer experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, assets, and tools; manage company assets.
