Job summary

Hobart Service in Fairfax, VA is seeking an entry-level Service/Repair Technician 1 to provide on-site support for commercial food equipment. You will install and service equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and follow safety procedures to meet customer expectations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 0-2 years of electrical or mechanical experience; an associate degree or vocational certificate is a plus. Basic tools and ability to read service manuals are necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0-2 years electrical/mechanical experience.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certificate preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs basic mechanical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnoses and repairs basic mechanical equipment for customers on contract or T&M.
• Documents preventative maintenance on basic equipment.
• Follows safety manuals and programs.
• Supports customer experience and branch objectives.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment and acts on service manuals.
• Manages company assets including vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Follows company safety and driving policies.
