Job summary

Hobart Food Equipment and Service is seeking an on-site Service/Repair Technician to install and service commercial food equipment for Hobart Service customers. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting ability and may include after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-site support.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with HVACR experience and EPA certification; HVACR certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years electrical and mechanical experience.
• HVACR experience with EPA certification (0-2 years).
• Vocational certificate in HVACR.
• Associate’s degree or Vocational Certificate preferred.
• Industry certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assists in advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair basic mechanical equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams.
• Understand sequence of operations for multiple modes.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow Hobart Service safety manuals and programs.
