Community Action Pioneer Valley is seeking an Energy Technician 1 to perform baseload energy audits, assess appliances, educate clients, and directly install LED lighting for income-eligible households in Franklin and Hampshire Counties. The role starts at entry level with potential advancement to Energy Technician 2 based on competencies.

Travel is required across the CAPV service area, and the position emphasizes data collection, program compliance, and customer-focused service delivery.

Formación

• 1 year of related work experience.
• Reliable transportation for daily travel across service area.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to detail.
• Understanding of energy efficiency concepts and safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Baseload Energy Efficiency Audits and appliance assessments.
• Visit homes, interview clients, and provide energy education.
• Install LED bulbs and other instant savings devices.
• Document conditions, maintain records, and ensure data accuracy.
• Follow program procedures and comply with funding rules.
• Travel regularly to CAPV sites and service locations.
