Job summary

RTX and Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, are seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate digital hardware for high-performance avionics systems. This onsite role involves collaboration with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to meet stringent lifecycle requirements.

You will work with digital logic, processors, memory technologies, and PCB layouts while engaging with production support when needed. Entry-level degree in EE/CE required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or relatedScience, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Responsibilities

• You will use and apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
• You will work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing / Operations, and Design-to-Cost (DTC) staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle.
• You will work on designs that include the use of digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), processors, and various memory technologies.
• You will support current production issues if the need arises.
