Job summary

The City of Charlotte, through the Charlotte Water Department, seeks a skilled Business Analyst to support mission-critical enterprise applications including CIS, field systems, and reporting tools.

The BA will analyze business processes, write requirements, perform UAT, develop reports with Power BI/SSRS, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field.
• 3+ years progressive experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
• Experience with CIS, utility technologies, or public-sector IT preferred.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and data validation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support for enterprise applications at Charlotte Water facilities.
• Analyze and resolve system problems; coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
• Elicit, document, validate, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain UMS knowledge, process maps, and user guides.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI/SSRS and validate data across systems.
