Job summary

AlignityX is seeking Technical Consultants to sit between technology and customers, building complex software solutions and guiding adoption across the full project lifecycle. You’ll design, develop, and integrate enterprise applications while collaborating with customers and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

This role emphasizes hands-on development with customer interaction, Agile delivery, and on-site work in McLean, VA, with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a closely related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands-on software development or technical implementation consulting experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Object-Oriented Programming.
• Working knowledge of relational database design and SQL, including queries, joins and views.
• Experience gathering requirements or working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in working directly with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Ability to work on-site 4-5 days per week in McLean, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build Solutions: Develop and deploy custom enterprise automation applications throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Solve Customer Problems: Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand complex processes and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
• Build Integrations: Connect enterprise systems through REST, SOAP, JDBC and other APIs/integration technologies.
• Work With Data: Design relational data models and write SQL queries, joins and views.
• Deliver in Agile Teams: Work within sprints, stand-ups, pair programming and other Agile development practices.
• Own the Outcome: Participate from initial requirements gathering through implementation, deployment and customer adoption.
• Enable Customers: Partner directly with customer teams, transfer knowledge and help users become increasingly self-sufficient.
