Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking an accomplished enterprise sales professional to drive revenue for tax solutions across a defined territory in the United States. You will build executive relationships, develop account plans, and tailor Vertex offerings to meet customer requirements.

The role requires strategic thinking, deep knowledge of tax software, and strong negotiation and presentation skills. You will collaborate with Vertex Consulting and partners to win large, multi-department opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business.
• 15+ years outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software.
• Experience selling to mid- or senior-level decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to defined territory.
• Develop strategies and account plans to penetrate the territory and target accounts.
• Understand customer requirements to tailor Vertex solutions and build long-term relationships.
• Sell enterprise-wide value propositions to executives and multi-department orgs.
• Develop plans with Vertex Consulting and partners; respond to RFPs.
• Stay informed on Vertex initiatives and industry developments and share with customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Vertex solutions and customer experience.
