Job summary

Appian in McLean, VA, is seeking a Senior Manager of Solutions Consulting to lead and develop a high-performing team of pre‑sales engineers, architect sophisticated solutions, and drive revenue velocity for the enterprise market.

As part of the SC 2.0 operating model, you will shape integration strategies, collaborate with product and sales leadership, and evangelize the platform at executive briefings, conferences, and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 7+ years in solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, or enterprise software architecture.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or individual contributors.
• Sales incentive plan experience and track record of revenue/bookings responsibility.
• Strong skills in designing system integration plans and modern enterprise architectures.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% to customer locations and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop Talent: manage and develop a high‑performing team of 3–6 pre‑sales engineers.
• Orchestrate Technical Sales: scope, design, and execute tailored technical sales presentations and POCs for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Partner with Sales Leadership: collaborate with Account Executives on qualification, territory strategy, and booking outcomes.
• Architect Integration Strategies: create detailed deployment and integration plans to accelerate complex enterprise deals.
• Influence Product Direction: feedback field patterns to Product Management for future capabilities.
• Evangelize the Platform: represent Appian in executive briefings and customer events.
