Job summary

Aerospike is seeking a technically sharp, enterprise-focused Solutions Architect to drive adoption of our real-time data platform across North America. You will lead architecture design, translate enterprise requirements into scalable blueprints, and prove value to prospective customers.

This pre-sales role partners with account teams and executives to steer architecture discussions and POC governance. Based in North America, you’ll advise across the sales lifecycle, shaping technical strategy,

Qualifications

• Executive presence and ability to credibly engage with C-level leaders and principal architects.
• Deep expertise in NoSQL, relational databases, distributed systems, and data platforms.
• Hands-on Linux experience and understanding of high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Practical knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Hive, Impala, and related ecosystems.
• Experience guiding architecture reviews, POCs, bake-offs, and complex evaluations.
• Sales engineering background with ability to map customer requirements to product feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design multi-region architectures addressing scale, latency, and resilience.
• Master the data plane across databases and data platforms; communicate complex tech to diverse audiences.
• Sell architecture and outcomes by tying technical choices to ROI and business strategy.
• Design and lead rigorous POCs, benchmarks, whiteboard sessions, demos and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to shape deal strategy and manage stakeholder alignment.
• Capture recurring requirements and competitive intelligence to inform Product and Engineering teams.
