Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead as the primary customer-facing technical leader for the Majors team (Central). You will guide prospects and customers on fit with Temporal’s platform and highlight cloud service advantages, shaping architectural decisions and adoption strategies.

You will collaborate with Account Executives, build reference architectures and demos, and travel 25–50% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Reside within the Dallas, Texas (United States)
• Exceptional technical communication skills across altitudes, from staff-level engineering to executive narratives
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using Java, Golang, Python, C#, TypeScript, Ruby, or Rust
• Firm grasp of production operations considerations such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations
• Ability to provide architectural guidance on topics like application patterns and platform architectures
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with common development and production services
• Ability to serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, assisting with scoping and sizing opportunities and guidance on technical fit and challenges
• Nice to Have: Prior experience with FinTech and/or FinServe

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal’s platform well.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal as an enterprise development standard against competing technologies and patterns.
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account plans across new opportunities and expansion, focusing on the customer’s long-term success and outcomes.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal’s capabilities.
• Create reusable technical assets, reference architectures, playbooks, and demos that provide value for other Solution Architects.
• Travel expected to be 25-50%
