Job summary

Help at Home in Augusta, ME is seeking a Head of Information Security to lead our enterprise security program and drive risk management across the organization. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and operations to mature controls, implement policies, and oversee security operations, governance, and incident response.

The role demands hands-on leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate risk into strategic actions for senior leaders and the Board while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 12+ years in information security with leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with security operations, incident response, and vendor management.
• Security policy development and regulatory/compliance knowledge (HIPAA, SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise security program and develop the strategic roadmap.
• Oversee governance, risk management, security operations, and metrics.
• Manage relationships with MSSPs and third-party security providers.
• Drive AI governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Prepare security materials for executive leadership and board.
