Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for our project controls function across a large, complex portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. This role will advance digital transformation by modernizing controls platforms, workflows, and AI-enabled forecasting enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of project controls for large, complex portfolios.
• Experience with integrated design-build or alternative delivery models in water.
• Proven record of digital transformation in enterprise platforms and analytics.
• Deep knowledge of cost, scheduling, forecasting, and risk controls.
• Ability to translate data into executive-level decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance.
• Establish controls for design-build and other delivery models across regions.
• Strengthen budgeting, EVMS, forecasting, and schedule analysis.
• Develop dashboards and insights for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of controls platforms with AI-enabled forecasting.
• Set standards for document management and data quality.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve profitability and client outcomes.
• Build and develop a distributed team of schedulers and cost controllers.
