Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls for a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will drive governance, systems, and analytics to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The role requires deep leadership in integrated design-build, with a focus on modernizing platforms, workflows, and AI-enabled forecasting across the enterprise. Travel up to 50% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance.
• Establish controls for design-build and other delivery models across planning to closeout.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and scheduling.
• Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, and workflows with automation and AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable documents management, data quality, and traceability standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to improve project outcomes.
• Lead and develop a geographically distributed team of schedulers and controllers.
