Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead our project controls function across a large portfolio for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. This enterprise role will drive governance, systems, analytics, and talent development to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably, while advancing digital transformation.

The position requires deep leadership in integrated design-build delivery, with expert knowledge of cost, schedule, risk, and commercial controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required.
PMP or PgM certification is required.
Strong leadership of project controls for large, complex portfolios.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance across units.
Establish design-build and other delivery models and align controls from planning through closeout.
Strengthen budgeting, EVM, forecasting, and change management.
Develop indicators and dashboards for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
Lead modernization of controls platforms and AI-enabled forecasting.
Set standards for document management and data quality.
Collaborate with executives to improve outcomes.
Build and mentor a distributed team of schedulers and cost controllers.
