Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Horizontal Process Design Consultant to analyze and transform enterprise processes within Operational Excellence. You will design, document, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and risk management.

Collaboration with business and technology teams is essential, with a focus on delivering sustainable, scalable solutions. The role requires 3+ years in process improvement, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in data management

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant work experience with business and technology projects including process improvement/re‑engineering and technology change efforts.
• Experience in process design, business process improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation roles.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and process improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project execution skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to facilitate meetings, capture key outcomes/actions and own product documentation.
• Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office products such as Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and in Visio.
• Strong decision making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills.
• Must be proficient in data management to include strong data analytic capability.
• Must have strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, determined and positive – especially under pressure.
• Critical thinker and risk minded

Responsibilities

• Implements low to moderately complex solutions to address issues and risks, optimize efficiency, reduce variability, and improve controls, quality, and sustainability
• Works directly with Line of Business partners to gather information needed to identify and implement solutions that resolve critical business challenges and opportunities
• Establishes a model for continuous process improvement by applying process engineering best practices and delivering reusable technology solutions
• Leverages analytics and critical thinking to solve complex business problems and translate issues into structured design oriented solutions with clearly defined business case benefits
• Supports the development of enterprise change management deliverables for material projects including project charters, SIPOC, RACI maps, risk assessments, control plans, and related artifacts
