Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic Senior Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer to design and execute the firm's enterprise privacy program. This executive will partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, IT, Data Governance, and business leaders to align privacy strategy with regulatory requirements and responsible data practices across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in privacy, compliance, risk management, data protection, or related fields.
• Experience with GLBA, Regulation S-P, state privacy laws, and financial services regulation.
• Experience leading privacy governance programs and working with regulators and auditors.
• Experience advising on privacy, data protection, regulatory, technology, or governance matters in highly regulated environments.
• Preferred JD and/or significant experience in regulated financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise privacy governance, policies, standards, and controls aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Manage privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, and control evaluations.
• Oversee regulatory compliance across privacy and data protection regulations; manage regulatory examinations and findings remediation.
• Provide AI governance leadership and controls for AI-enabled solutions and emerging tech.
• Oversee data subject rights, consent management, and data protection requirements; coordinate with Cybersecurity and Incident Response teams.
• Develop monitoring and training programs to strengthen privacy accountability and risk management.
• Lead and develop privacy, compliance, and governance teams and engage executive leadership on risk governance.
