Job summary

Paul Murphy Associates LLC is partnering with a leading global market infrastructure provider to recruit a Head of Project Management in Chicago. This role will consolidate up to 20 PMs into a federated center of excellence, owning enterprise portfolio governance and ELT reporting.

The role requires shaping an enterprise PM operating model, driving strategy execution, and delivering governance across a complex, multi-entity environment while maintaining execution discipline and strong

Qualifications

Experience leading large-scale programs in a regulated environment (financial services, exchanges, fintech).
Leadership to grow teams and manage change across a matrix organization.
Strategic thinking to translate enterprise strategy into executable programs with measurable outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level reporting.
Proficiency with enterprise PM tools (Jira Programs, Jira Plans) and AI-augmented delivery.

Responsibilities

Design an enterprise-wide PM operating model and consolidate PM resources into a federated center of excellence.
Define target operating model, governance structures, and career frameworks.
Lead end-to-end program delivery with change management and execution discipline.
Establish KPI-based tracking and ELT reporting for portfolio governance.
Align roadmaps with business leaders and optimize resource allocation and budgets.
Maintain enterprise portfolio visibility and consistent communication across regions.
