Job summary

Focus Financial Partners is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of enterprise technology programs within the PMO. This role partners with executives, stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.

You will mentor project managers and analysts, manage risks, and provide executive visibility into program performance while driving continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of large-scale, enterprise-wide technology programs within a complex organization.
• Proven success managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience within IT PMO environments, including governance, portfolio management, and executive reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring project managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-visibility projects and enterprise programs within the IT PMO portfolio, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and delivery standards.
• Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
• Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
• Coordinate internal teams, executives, third-party vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor project health, milestones, financial performance, and provide executive reporting to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop project managers, business analysts, and teams to ensure accountability and high performance.
• Ensure quality assurance standards and governance requirements are applied across projects.
• Conduct project reviews and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage strategic relationships with leaders, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Facilitate steering committees and governance meetings to support decision-making and remove roadblocks.
• Drive execution across ERP implementations, cloud migrations, integrations, and digital transformation programs.
• Partner with leadership to define roadmaps, prioritization, and long-term resource planning.
• Implement portfolio dashboards and reporting frameworks to support executive decisions.
• Build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and delivery excellence.
