Kingfisher Recruiting in Kingsport, TN, is seeking a driven Sales Manager to grow a flexible packaging business in northeast Tennessee. You’ll blend technical learning with consultative selling to solve real packaging challenges and help brands show up on shelves.

You’ll collaborate with R&D, prepress, and production, manage accounts end-to-end, and craft quotes and RFP responses while forecasting sales performance. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sales or technical service (B2B preferred).
• Experience building enterprise client relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including some international travel.
• Curiosity to learn printing and packaging tech.
• Strong communication, consultative selling, and problem solving.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new enterprise clients across food, beverage, confectionery, pet food, and consumer goods industries
• Open doors, build trust, and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships
• Learn and apply technical knowledge of rotogravure printing, substrates, and ink systems
• Help clients select the right materials (PET, BOPP, PE, specialty papers) for their packaging needs
• Communicate the performance, quality, and cost advantages of rotogravure printing
• Position solutions that make a real difference to your clients’ operations and brand
• Partner with R&D, prepress, and production to ensure projects are executed flawlessly
• Help bring packaging concepts to life with precision and quality
• Manage accounts end-to-end from first conversation to final delivery
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and RFP responses
• Forecast and track sales performance
• Deliver a high-touch, exceptional customer experience
• Keep a pulse on trends like sustainability, barrier films, and pricing strategies
• Bring insights back to strengthen our competitive edge
