Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates in Kingsport, TN seeks a driven Sales Manager to grow our flexible packaging business. You will identify new enterprise clients, build trust, and guide customers to smart packaging solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will learn technical aspects of rotogravure printing, help clients choose materials, and articulate the value of our offerings. Expect a dynamic, relationship-driven role with commission on top of base compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sales or technical service (B2B preferred).
• Willing to travel up to 50% (including international travel).
• CRM systems and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Degree in Business, Packaging Science, Graphic Communications, or related field (preferred).
• Curiosity to learn technical aspects of printing and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Build & Grow New Business: identify and win new enterprise clients across food, beverage, confectionery, pet food, and consumer goods industries.
• Open doors, build trust, and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
• Be a Trusted Advisor: learn and apply technical knowledge of rotogravure printing, substrates, and ink systems.
• Sell with Strategy & Value: communicate performance, quality, and cost advantages of rotogravure printing.
• Collaborate Across Teams: partner with R&D, prepress, and production to ensure flawless execution.
• Own the Customer Experience: manage accounts end-to-end from first conversation to final delivery, prepare quotes and proposals, forecast sales.
• Stay Ahead of the Market: keep a pulse on trends like sustainability, barrier films, and pricing strategies, bring insights to strengthen our edge.
