Job summary

Amazon AWS Core Networking is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Backbone Enterprise and Regional Engineering (BERE) team. You will partner with the broader Infrastructure organization to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and sustain networking software tools across AWS data centers.

The role involves high-quality network and systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, and documenting best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in network engineering and Unix systems.
• Ability to work across infrastructure teams and document changes.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 on-call environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with automation teams to scale tooling.
• Lead network projects in deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Provide critical support for large-scale networking events.
• Troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, and configurations.
• Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams on standards and tools.
• Ensure aligned rollout of new designs and sustaining of networking software tools.
• Maintain and review documentation and SOPs for network deployments.
