Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Syracuse, NY seeks a senior leader to establish and sustain an enterprise-wide operating model for Materials and Packaging Engineering. You will drive standardization across multiple U.S. sites while balancing site-specific needs and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 12+ years of experience in Supply Chain leadership, strong analytics, and the ability to travel ~20% across Saab locations in the United States. A U.S. citizen is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience or 10+ with a Master’s degree
• Experience leading multi-site operations and enterprise-level initiatives across locations
• Strong materials management, warehousing, and inventory control experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a standardized enterprise operating model for Materials, Warehousing, and Packaging Engineering.
• Establish governance, operating standards, KPIs, roles, responsibilities, and accountability across Saab locations.
• Balance enterprise standardization with site-specific production, program, and customer requirements.
• Develop and execute the enterprise Materials strategy and continuous improvement roadmap.
• Build organizational capability and develop site and functional leaders.
• Lead cross-site initiatives focused on operational performance, scalability, cost, service, and risk reduction.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and collaborate with Programs, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Strategy, IT, and Finance.
