Job summary

Wilmington Trust, part of M&T Bank, seeks a Forward Deployed Product Owner to lead the Employee Knowledge Management initiative. You will own the EKM backlog, design and govern the platform ecosystem, and partner with business lines to ensure content quality and lifecycle health.

The role combines content expertise, product ownership, and low-code development, with emphasis on governance, reporting, and risk/compliance in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 10 years in relevant fields; or 14 years combined education/work experience.
• Experience designing, administering and improving enterprise content platforms.
• Experience building workflows using Power Platform, Appian or similar low-code tools.
• Translate business needs into executable requirements, user stories and tests.
• Knowledge of metadata, taxonomy, search optimization, governance and lifecycle.
• Familiar with AI-assisted tools and responsible usage.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and independent work ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the EKM product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria and release readiness.
• Design and administer the EKM platform ecosystem (SharePoint Online, workflows, notifications).
• Maintain the governed catalog, taxonomy, and content lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and drive alignment.
• Support content development, editing and improvement of procedural content.
• Leverage AI-assisted capabilities with human validation.
• Establish dashboards and metrics for content coverage and platform health.
• Ensure QA, UAT, regression testing and long-term technical stewardship.
• Assume operational ownership post-implementation and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and risk/compliance activities.
