Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies and knowledge graphs. You will work with business SMEs, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to translate domain concepts into semantic models and ensure alignment with governance standards.

You will contribute to ontology development across OWL/RDF/SKOS, support data integration, and collaborate on ontology-guided information extraction in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or related semantic web discipline.
• Proven track record delivering domain ontologies in enterprise/consulting contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead full ontology lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and contribute to A-Box hydration patterns across data sources.
• Apply and uphold naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture principles.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Map relational/structured data into semantic frameworks.
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs to support reasoning and analytics.
• Ensure models align with business goals, governance, and data practices.
