Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern enterprise domain ontologies for knowledge graph initiatives. You will translate business domains into standards-compliant semantic models, collaborate with data engineers and AI/ML teams, and ensure alignment with governance practices.

You will lead ontology design, mapping, validation, and deployment while coaching stakeholders to validate competency questions and apply upper ontologies as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or a closely related semantic web discipline.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience delivering domain ontologies in an enterprise or consulting context.
• Bachelor’s in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Lead the full ontology lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and hydrate A-Box across data sources.
• Apply and maintain naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Map relational data into semantic frameworks and build knowledge graphs.
