Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior connectivity leader to own service delivery for enterprise networking, datacenter edge connectivity, and cloud links. You will direct multiple engineers and leads, set performance expectations, and drive governance across incidents, changes, and security controls.

The role requires 10+ years in network/enterprise infrastructure and 3+ years in team leadership, with strong communication skills and a strategic view on cost optimization and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in network engineering, connectivity operations, or enterprise infrastructure.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or service domains.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, wireless, WAN, and hybrid/public cloud connectivity.
• Experience with IT service management, governance, change control, and incident leadership.
• Ability to align priorities between business users and technical stakeholders.
• Balance people leadership with operational and technical decision-making.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Own service delivery and operational performance for enterprise connectivity services (datacenter edge, office LAN/WAN, branch networking, wireless, firewall, cloud connectivity).
• Establish priorities, objectives, and operational expectations aligned with IT strategy.
• Directly manage connectivity engineers/leads; set clear expectations for delivery and growth.
• Oversee workload distribution, on-call structures, staffing, and service continuity planning.
• Lead performance management activities including goal setting, coaching, and evaluations.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, service management, and support to ensure coordinated delivery and risk management.
• Ensure governance for incidents, changes, problems, configuration standards, security controls, and documentation.
• Oversee vendor and carrier relationships, support escalations, and service performance reviews.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, lifecycle planning, and cost optimization for connectivity services.
• Translate strategy into executable team plans and monitor service health, risks, and technical debt.
• Champion standardization, automation, operational maturity, and customer-service culture.
