Job summary

Temporal Technologies seeks a Solutions Architect to be the primary customer-facing technical leader for the Majors team (East). You will guide prospects and customers in evaluating Temporal’s platform and cloud service, and showcase its technical advantages while shaping the technical relationship with key decision-makers.

Residing in the Eastern United States, you’ll collaborate with Sales to size opportunities, develop reference architectures, and enable production deployments.

Qualifications

• US-based Eastern Time zone residence preferred.
• Strong technical communication across staff engineer to executive levels.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and best practices.
• Proficiency in building prototypes and guiding design, development, build, and deployment with Java, Golang, Python, C#, TypeScript, Ruby, or Rust.
• Solid grasp of production security, reliability, performance, cost and operations.
• Ability to advise on architectural topics, patterns, and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and common dev/production services.
• Able to support Sales with scoping and sizing opportunities and technical fit.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine fit with Temporal’s platform.
• Educate customers on technical benefits and limitations of Temporal.
• Position Temporal against competing technologies and patterns.
• Foster adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account plans.
• Manage relationships with technical decision-makers to maximize Temporal use.
• Create reusable technical assets, reference architectures, playbooks, demos.
