Job summary

Temporal seeks a Staff Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements for the Central region, guiding prospects on the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform and highlighting cloud-service advantages.

You’ll partner with Account Executives to shape and execute an account plan, own relationships with technical decision-makers, and help customer teams expand production apps using Temporal. Travel 25–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Comfortable discussing distributed system technologies, design decisions, and best practices.
• Able to construct application prototypes and guide design, development, build, and deployment using Temporal languages (Java, Golang, Typescript, Python, PHP).
• Conversant in production topics such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Able to advise on architectural topics and platform architectures.
• Comfortable working with major cloud providers and their services.
• Serve as a technical advisor to Sales Account Executives.

Responsibilities

• Help prospects understand if their application is suitable for Temporal.
• Explain technical benefits/drawbacks of Temporal platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal against alternative technologies.
• Create conditions for customer engineering teams to expand production apps using Temporal.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute an account plan.
• Own relationships with customer technical decision-makers in evaluating/operating Temporal apps.
• Travel 25-50%.
