Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. in San Francisco seeks an Applications Engineer to own and support enterprise applications used by attorneys and staff. You will ensure reliability, security and lifecycle management, while automating routines and improving user experience.

You will partner with security and IT teams, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to documentation and runbooks. This role requires 5+ years of enterprise app experience in a large firm or enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrading, and patching enterprise apps.
• Experience with SaaS and cloud-based enterprise apps.
• Experience with identity/auth technologies (SSO, SAML, OAuth, Entra ID/Azure AD, MFA).
• Experience with REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience designing highly available apps with DR/BC.
• Strong security knowledge and least-privilege access.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to own issues and drive projects to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication with varied stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills in a large enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for assigned enterprise and legal apps.
• Configure, administer, and support enterprise applications through their lifecycle.
• Support platforms like NetDocuments, Litera, Intapp, and MS 365 add-ins.
• Plan, test, deploy, and support implementations, upgrades, and patches.
• Develop automation for administration, deployment, monitoring, reporting and support.
• Monitor availability, performance, capacity, integrations, and processes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with teams and vendors.
• Collaborate with Information Security on access controls and remediation.
• Maintain technical docs, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
• Manage vendor relationships and product roadmaps.
• Provide guidance to Practice Technology and IT teams.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and escalations.
