Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. seeks an Applications Engineer to implement, administer, integrate, and support enterprise applications used by attorneys and legal professionals.

The role emphasizes application reliability, security, and lifecycle management to deliver secure, efficient solutions and improve user experience. The technical owner will enhance performance through proactive monitoring, automation, and effective resolution of complex issues, collaborating with IT, security teams, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience with SaaS and cloud-based enterprise apps.
• Experience with identity technologies such as SSO, SAML, OAuth, Entra ID/Azure AD, MFA.
• Experience with REST APIs and integration technologies.
• Experience designing or supporting highly available applications, including load balancing, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
• Strong understanding of application security principles (RBAC, least privilege, vulnerability remediation).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across logs, integrations, and dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to own technical issues and drive improvements through automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner and SME for assigned enterprise and legal applications.
• Configure, administer, maintain, and support enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Support cloud-based and on-premises applications (NetDocuments, Litera, Intapp, Microsoft 365, etc.).
• Plan, test, deploy, and support implementations, upgrades, patches, and integrations.
• Develop automation to streamline administration, deployment, monitoring, reporting, and support.
• Proactively monitor availability, performance, capacity, integrations, and processes; resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents.
• Partner with Information Security to implement appropriate controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and product roadmaps to optimize technologies.
• Provide guidance to Practice Technology and IT teams and share knowledge.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and escalation support when required.
