Job summary

Zendesk, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Account Director to win new business with large enterprises across industries. You will build trusted relationships with executive buyers, connect priorities to Zendesk’s service and AI solutions, and guide complex opportunities from first conversation through close.

You’ll help grow our enterprise customer base and hand off to the post-sale team. You will lead through discovery, build business cases, negotiate deals, and coordinate with Solution Engineers,

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of related experience in complex B2B SaaS sales.
• Proven track record owning new-business opportunities and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
• Experience with prospecting, value-based discovery, executive engagement, and complex deal ownership.
• Ability to discuss AI, automation, and platform value credibly with both business and technical audiences.
• Equivalent practical experience welcomed; no specific degree required.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage qualified pipeline through targeted prospecting, inbound opportunities, partner relationships, and territory planning.
• Lead complex sales from discovery through close, including business case, proposal, negotiation, and deal progression.
• Connect customer goals to Zendesk platform and AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts, surface risks early, and align buyers on next steps.
