Louisiana ENT Specialists is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures, from scheduling dates to post-operative follow-ups, working closely with physicians, staff and patients to ensure a smooth experience.

The role requires strong organization, excellent communication, and comfort with medical terminology and EMR systems. You will manage appointments, verify information, coordinate resources, and assist patients with insurance and pre-authorization as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Planning and Coordination: schedule procedures, pre-operative assessments, clearances, and post-operative follow-ups.
• Patient Communication: serve as the primary contact for surgical patients with clear, compassionate communication.
• Physician Liaison: coordinate with ENT physicians and other providers to ensure preparedness for procedures.
• Resource Management: secure operating room availability, equipment, and resources to minimize delays.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain accurate schedules and patient records per regulations and protocols.
• Insurance and Financial Assistance: assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Patient Advocacy: advocate for patient needs throughout the surgical process.
