Job summary

Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Texas. The role focuses on coordinating all aspects of surgical procedures for patients, working closely with physicians, staff, insurers, and patients to ensure accurate scheduling, financial clearance, and smooth communication throughout the surgical process.

The ideal candidate will have experience with healthcare-related workflows, familiarity with surgical scheduling, and proficiency in common office

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with computer-based software such as eClinicalWorks, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents verification of patient benefits to include network participation status, patient out-of-pocket expenses, and exclusions.
• Provides financial counseling to patients including cost estimates, payment terms and collection of payment.
• Works with providers, clinic staff, and CBO team to ensure financial clearance.
• Coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures, including scheduling surgery dates and pre-operative assessments.
• Communicate and coordinate with ENT physicians and other healthcare providers for seamless patient care.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to secure operating room availability and necessary resources.
• Review medical policies to ensure documentation guidelines are met.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and document reference numbers.
• Accurately document all communications.
• Experience with computer-based software (eClinicalWorks preferred) in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Three years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field preferred.
