Job summary

University of Silicon Valley in San Jose seeks a Student Success & Enrollment Counselor to guide applicants through enrollment, onboarding, and early academic planning.

You will conduct admissions counseling, support orientation, monitor progress, and coordinate with Financial Aid, Registrar, and other departments to ensure a smooth student journey and timely graduation. This role emphasizes ethical recruitment, student-centered service, and use of CRM systems to track engagement and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records
• Proactive problem-solving and collaborative work across departments

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with prospective students and provide timely outreach via phone, email, text, and video
• Guide applicants through program selection, applications, enrollment, and orientation
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Registrar, and other departments to support onboarding and progression
• Monitor student engagement, attendance, and progress; conduct regular check-ins and identify challenges
• Protect FERPA compliance and maintain accurate student records; escalate issues as needed
