Job summary

Terracon in the United States is seeking a field technician to perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate with project managers and client representatives regarding requirements and results, and transport samples to the laboratory for analysis.

Under close supervision, you will assist on tasks, document findings, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with Project Manager, engineers, client representatives and others regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare data and observations for reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; follow safety rules.
