Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will document results, communicate with project managers, and assist in scheduling tasks on diverse sites.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following safety standards, and preparing reports for daily transmission. A High School Diploma and 6 months of experience are required, with additional certifications pursued

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of construction materials testing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
• Must obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist on tasks under supervision and perform basic testing and observations.
• Document findings clearly and prepare submittals for Project Manager.
• Communicate results and discuss data accuracy with Project Manager prior to submittal.
• Maintain and care for assigned equipment and tools on site.
• Be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility.
