Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel on construction sites. You will collect samples, document findings, and prepare reports for the Project Manager.

Under supervision, you will maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to data submission. A high school diploma and 6 months of experience are required, with a driver's license and certifications as noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification is preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion of internal safety certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate results and data to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with proper documentation and prepare reports.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles and work areas and ensure safety standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

ACI certification within 90 days

Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months
