Job summary

Garver is actively seeking a Talent Sourcer in Overland Park, Kansas to identify and engage engineering, technical, and professional talent. You will partner with the Talent Acquisition team to translate business needs into sourcing plans, build pipelines, and deliver credible outreach to passive candidates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in talent sourcing, recruiting, talent research, executive search, or related research-intensive roles.
• Ability to identify qualified people through multiple research methods beyond keyword searches or inbound applications.
• Strong written communication and judgement to tailor outreach to technical audiences.
• Ability to evaluate career history, titles, employers, projects, credentials, geography, and progression to decide if a conversation is warranted.
• Organization and persistence to manage multiple searches, document work accurately, and follow through on priorities.
• Comfort partnering with recruiters and hiring leaders, receiving feedback, and adjusting search strategy quickly.
• Familiarity with recruiting, CRM, or applicant-tracking tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 ecosystem)

Responsibilities

• Develop focused talent pipelines by clarifying target profiles, business needs, geography, experience level, and search priorities.
• Identify and engage passive and active candidates for engineering, technical, and professional roles.
• Build reusable pipelines for current openings, anticipated needs, locations, and difficult-to-fill disciplines.
• Balance pipeline volume with candidate quality, relevance, and readiness for recruiter review.
• Research beyond obvious channels using LinkedIn, associations, licensing databases, conferences, referrals, university networks, and niche boards.
• Create talent maps showing relevant employers, locations, titles, career paths, and talent availability.
• Track competitor and labor-market signals affecting search strategy and outreach positioning.
• Test new research methods and document repeatable sourcing approaches for the Talent Acquisition team.
