Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Leader to manage low to moderately complex engineering projects, providing technical direction to ensure timely implementation for value engineering and product support across the Battery category.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage schedules, budgets, and risk, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Suppliers to deliver conforming products globally. International travel (10–15%) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with design for manufacturing/assembly and risk management.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally (10–15%).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership over low to moderately complex design projects.
• Schedules, facilitates, and documents project meetings and timelines.
• Manages projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Guides design to market-driven requirements including cost and manufacturing needs.
• Oversees integration of components, materials, packaging, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Obtains necessary approvals through design and safety reviews.
• Frames technical discussions with Marketing and cross-functional teams.
• Works with Operations, Quality, and Suppliers to deliver conforming products.
