Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Project Accounting Coordinator to drive project tracking in our financial system, manage invoicing, and support accounts receivable. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers and report to the Controller as part of the Accounting Team.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders, with a comprehensive U.S.-based benefits package and a performance-based bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Accounting or related field.
• Prior experience in a project accounting environment ideal.
• Basic understanding of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other project accounting software systems and strong desire to gain further understanding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and track projects in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint; maintain project records and invoices.
• Review project expenses for billable status; coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Prepare draft invoices for PM review and approval; finalize and send to clients.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable collection and client statements.
• Post client cash receipts to project invoices and provide timely PM reports.
• Generate monthly revenue projections with Deltek and support team leadership.
