Leidos is seeking an Engineering People Manager to lead 15–20 engineers across Agile Release Trains in the Air Traffic Business Area. This role focuses on career development, performance management, workforce health, and personnel administration within a SAFe/Agile program supporting government initiatives.

Hybrid work; 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, with responsibilities spanning staffing, hiring support, and championing an AI-first engineering culture to improve productivity and quality

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field with 5+ years of experience or master’s with 3+ years.
• Direct people management experience including performance evaluations and career development.
• Experience with hiring processes including job descriptions, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills in a government contracting environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Mansioni

• Manage 15–20 engineers across one or more ARTs as their direct people manager.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, quarterly check-ins, and annual performance reviews aligned with HR processes.
• Drive individualized career development plans and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate staffing and resource allocation with ART leadership and program management.
• Support hiring activities including requisition development, interview participation, and onboarding.
• Monitor workforce health indicators and proactively address concerns.
• Facilitate conflict resolution within and across teams.
• Collaborate with ART leads and Product Owners to understand team dynamics and personnel needs.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, timekeeping, and personnel administration.
• Advocate for team recognition, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
• Support organizational change initiatives and communicate corporate updates to direct reports.
• Champion an AI-first engineering culture by identifying and applying AI-assisted development capabilities.
