Zusammenfassung

Leidos is seeking a Principal AI Software Developer to join the Air Traffic Business Area, building the L-CAP platform with AI-first engineering. You’ll design microservices, implement RESTful APIs, and integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases in a hybrid cloud environment.

You will mentor developers, perform code reviews, and contribute to design docs while operating within SAFe/Agile ceremonies. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s preferred for extra experience.
• 12+ years of professional experience in relevant roles.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ with production software experience.
• Experience designing microservices-based applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Solid experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe frameworks and iterative delivery.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience with performance engineering including profiling and optimization.
• Knowledge of API versioning and interface stability practices.
• Experience modernizing legacy software into service-oriented architectures.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Design and develop microservices that form the backbone of the L-CAP platform.
• Collaborate with architects to translate designs into robust implementations.
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations in hybrid cloud data mesh.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases ensuring data consistency.
• Perform performance tuning of services in distributed environments.
• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across services, APIs, and infra.
• Contribute to design docs, API specs, and runbooks.
• Participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies and PI planning.
• Engage in performance engineering including profiling and latency analysis.
• Maintain interface stability during modernization of software.
• Modernize legacy ATC automation functions to cloud-native services.
• Adopt AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
