Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 5+ years total experience (or Master's with 3+ years)
• Minimum 2+ years of direct people management experience including performance evaluations
• Engineering/technical background to understand managed work context
• Experience with performance management, goal setting, and feedback delivery
• Experience supporting hiring processes including job descriptions and interviewing
• Familiarity with HR processes and government contracting environment

Responsibilities

• Manage 15-20 engineers across one or more ARTs as their direct people manager
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, quarterly check-ins, and annual performance reviews
• Drive career development plans, identify growth opportunities, and stretch assignments
• Coordinate staffing and resource allocation with ART leadership and program management
• Support hiring activities including requisition development and onboarding
• Monitor workforce health indicators and address concerns
• Facilitate conflict resolution within and across teams
• Collaborate with ART leads and Product Owners on team dynamics and needs
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, timekeeping, and personnel administration
• Advocate for promotions and compensation adjustments based on performance
• Support organizational change initiatives and communicate updates to reports
• Champion AI-first engineering culture to improve productivity and quality
