Job summary

Yendo, Inc. is seeking an engineering manager to lead the backend team for our high-traffic application process. You will own technical direction, architecture, and delivery, while staying hands-on with design and code reviews.

You will mentor engineers, drive end-to-end outcomes with product and design, and help recruit top talent as we scale the platform to serve millions of Americans seeking better financial access.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with deep systems thinking and architecture.
• You have previously led an engineering team (1+ year) and delivered production systems.
• Fluent in a statically typed language (Go preferred) and able to ramp quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the backend engineering team building our high-traffic application process.
• Set and defend the technical direction, architecture, quality bar, and delivery.
• Stay hands-on with design reviews, code reviews, and critical problem solving.
• Own outcomes end to end, partnering with product, design, and engineering.
• Recruit and raise the bar by hiring and mentoring engineers as we scale.
