Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an Engineering Manager in Lynchburg, VA to lead engineering resources and coordinate activities for on-time processing of ETO orders, product maintenance, and compliance with ASME codes.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering and offers a path to promotion within 6–9 months, with relocation support and a potential Director of Engineering transition. Strong leadership and ISO 9001 experience are valued.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience involving design and development of heat exchangers and/or related HVAC systems and components preferred.
• Three years managerial experience; Virginia PE registration desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental workflow to achieve on-time delivery and KPI targets.
• Maintain up-to-date project and sales order tracking systems.
• Dispositon of RMAs in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with Director of Engineering on policy or procedural changes and critical customer-care decisions.
