Job summary

MYR Group Inc. seeks a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee engineering for nationwide EPC projects, including substation, transmission, and distribution work. You will support owner design reviews, construction and startup activities, and final as-built documentation.

Role requires PE license, 7+ years in relevant fields, and strong leadership with vendors and subcontractors. Travel up to 25% is required as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license is required or in progress.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• EPC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bid to closeout.
• Coordinate design subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Interface with vendors and manage procurement information and deliverables.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate engineering and procurement activities with Project Executive/Manager.
• Manage testing and commissioning for EPC projects.
