Job summary

DoorDash is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Drive Growth & New Bets team across four lines of business, including Pizza and Health. The role emphasizes engineering execution, architecture, and collaboration with Product, Analytics, BD, and Ops. Hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA, SF, CA, or Seattle, WA.

You will hire and mentor senior engineers, drive reliability and compliance, and incubate new bets with stage-gated validation while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing full-stack engineering teams of 8+ engineers.
• 8+ years total industry experience including hands-on engineering.
• Distributed systems design and platform-scale execution experience.
• Strong product intuition and comfort partnering on roadmap and strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with ambiguity—new bets being incubated.
• Experience leading multiple LOBs or platforms in parallel is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team across backend, mobile, and web.
• Set technical direction and architecture for established platforms and new builds.
• Partner with Product, BD, and Ops on roadmap and go-to-market plans.
• Hire, develop, and retain senior engineers and foster ownership culture.
• Drive reliability, HIPAA compliance, and on-time delivery for mission-critical work.
