Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager for the People Applications team to lead and scale full-stack engineers across multiple locations, including the US and Hungary. You will shape the technical direction and product strategy for 1P People apps, guiding data pipelines, automation, and AI/tool integrations to improve employee experience.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise App Engineering and collaborate with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of people management leading full-stack teams of 5+ engineers.
• 7+ years of software development experience in HR-related applications.
• Experience with distributed system design and scaling.
• Experience with Generative AI development and prompt flows.
• Strong leadership, business acumen and product intuition.
• Deep technical background with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of full stack engineers across multiple DoorDash locations including US and Hungary.
• Drive Technical Vision: Define architectural roadmap for the team.
• Deliver Impactful Features: Oversee development of core People Application product experiences, including data pipelines, automation and integration with AI tools/LLMs.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Work with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user-first solutions.
• Operational Excellence: Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.
• Embrace AI: Leverage AI and automation to improve developer velocity and business outcomes.
