Job summary

DoorDash is seeking anEngineering Manager to lead a pod of 8-10 engineers in DoorDash for Business. You will set technical direction, define the roadmap with PM/business counterparts, and own how well the system runs.

You will hire, grow, and retain engineers while coordinating with Product, Design, and Sales Strategy & Operations across global markets. You will manage architecture, balance global vs regional needs, and uphold high standards for reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing engineers (including hiring and performance management).
• Shipped and operated production systems at scale.
• Led work spanning multiple teams or geographies, building trust with a pod you don’t sit next to.
• Set direction under ambiguity and decomposed broad charters into roadmaps.
• Own outcomes, not output, and measure impact for customers and the business.
• Care about craft and operational excellence: testing, observability, on-call load.
• Communicate clearly with non-engineering partners: Product, Design, Sales, Operations, Finance.
